Fulvio DELLE DONNE

Fulvio Delle Donne is Professor of Medieval Latin and Humanistic Literature at the Università degli Studi della Basilicata (Potenza). His work cuts across and establishes a dialogue between history, philology and literature over a long period ranging from the sixth to the fifteenth centuries. He is the author of numerous critical editions including that of Gaspare Pellegrino, Historia Alphonsi primi regis (Florence, SISMEL-Ed. del Galluzzo, 2007), re-published with an Italian translation in Gaspar Pelegrí, Historiarum Alphonsi regis libri X. I dieci libri delle Storie del re Alfonso (Rome: Istituto Storico Italiano per il Medio Evo, 2012); and also that of Blondus Flavius, De verbis Romanae locutionis (Rome: Istituto Storico Italiano per il Medio Evo, 2008). He is the author of numerous monographic works including, to quote only the most recent, Alfonso il Magnanimo e l’invenzione dell’Umanesimo monarchico. Ideologia e strategie di legittimazione alla corte aragonese di Napoli (Rome: Istituto Storico Italiano per il Medio Evo, 2015).
