Aliki ANGELIDOU

Aliki Angelidou is Associate Professor of Social Anthropology at Panteion University in Athens. Her doctorate explored socioeconomic and identity transformations in rural post-socialist Bulgaria. She has published articles on migrant women travelling from Eastern Europe to Greece, as well as on the mobility of the economic elite in the Balkans. Her research interests include economic anthropology, the (re)definitions of European identity following the enlargement of the European Union toward the East, the comparative history of anthropology in Southeastern Europe, and applied anthropology.
