Élodie BAILLOT

Élodie Baillot has a Ph.D. in art history from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. In 2020 she defended a thesis entitled “Réseaux de collectionneurs et enjeux de patrimonialisation en Europe au xixe siècle : le baron Davillier, le comte de Valencia de Don Juan et Lady Schreiber” (“Collectors’ Networks and Heritagization Issues in 19th-Century Europe: Baron Davillier, Count de Valencia de Don Juan and Lady Schreiber”). In 2018 she was awarded the Treilles Foundation’s “Young Researcher” Prize, and she was also the recipient of grants from the Casa de Velázquez in 2015 and 2017. She has taught cultural-heritage and museum history, cultural-heritage management and contemporary art history at several different universities. Her research has been published in international journals including Art in Translation and the Journal of Iberian and Latin American Studies. Since 2021 she has been working on a digital edition of the correspondence of Baron Davillier on the e-Man platform (Thalim/CNRS: https://eman-archives.org/EMAN/).
