Adèle SUTRE
Adèle Sutre has a Ph.D. and an agrégation – an advanced teaching certificate – in geography. She defended her thesis, “Du parcours du monde à son invention. Géographies tsiganes en Amérique du Nord (1880-1950)” (“From Traveling the World to Inventing It: Gypsy Geographies in North America (1880-1950)” in 2017 at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS Paris). Her book, Géopolitique des tsiganes. Des façons d’être au monde entre circulations et ancrages (Gypsy Geopolitics: Ways of Being in the World in Between Circulating and Being Rooted) was published by Le Cavalier bleu in 2021. She was also assistant curator of the 2018 “Gypsy Worlds: Creating Images” exhibit at the National History of Immigration Museum in Paris. Since 2022, she has been a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut Convergences Migrations (French Collaborative Institute on Migrations, CNRS).
