Alexia Sofia Papazafeiropoulou is a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens. Her PhD thesis entitled “Car Culture and road networks in Greece from the 1930s to the 1980s,” was granted the Heraclitus scholarship and concerns the study of car culture, road networks and automobility in the above-mentioned socio-spatial context, through the methodology of Science and Technology Studies, and Mobility. Her research interests also include Material and Consumption Culture and Cultural Studies. She has participated in research projects, and parts of her work have been presented in international conferences and doctoral summer schools and have also been published in international as well as in Greek academic journals. She is a member of international research teams and a co-founder of the Mobility and Tourism Research Team in Greece.
