Béatrice HAENGGELI-JENNI
Béatrice Haenggeli-Jenni is a scientific associate at the Archives Institut J.J. Rousseau of the University of Geneva. She has been a member of the Équipe de recherche en histoire sociale de l’éducation (ERHISE) at the Faculté de psychologie et des sciences de l’éducation since 2005. She served as the assistant to professor Rita Hofstetter, under whose direction she completed a doctoral thesis entitled Pour l’ère nouvelle, une revue carrefour entre science et militance (1920-1940), in which she explored the history of the Éducation nouvelle movement through her interest in the network of actors promoting it. She is currently conducting research on the women who worked both as educators and representatives of their countries in the organizations committed to this cause. She studies their life paths, their action on both a practical and theoretical level, as well as their affiliation with political, community, religious, and feminist networks on both the local and international levels.
