Bérénice ZUNINO

Bérénice Zunino is the holder of an agrégation in German, as well as an Associate Professor in German Civilization at l’université de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. She was a contractual doctoral student at l’université Paris-Sorbonne from 2010 to 2013, a scholarship student at l’Institut français d’histoire en Allemagne in Frankfurt am Main (now the Institut franco-allemand de sciences historiques et sociales) from 2013 to 2015, and a postdoctoral fellow at l’EHESS from 2015 to 2016. Her thesis in Germanic studies and history, which she defended in 2014, focused on La littérature illustrée pour enfants à l’époque de la Première Guerre mondiale. Origines et évolution de la culture de guerre enfantine allemande (Sorbonne Université/Freie Universität Berlin, prepared under the direction of Jean-Paul Cahn and Oliver Janz). Her research explores early-twentieth-century German civilization, illustrated literature for children and youth, and the visual arts.
