Bernard SALVAING

Bernard Salvaing is a professor emeritus of contemporary history. He is specialized in the history of Christian missions in Africa. He is also interested in how Muslim populations in Mali (Macina) and Guinea (Fouta Djalon) viewed French colonization. He is the author of numerous books, including Les Missionnaires à la rencontre de l'Afrique (Missionaries Encountering Africa) (Paris: L'Harmattan, 1995).
