Cécile Caby is currently Professor of Medieval History at the University Lumière Lyon 2, which she joined in September 2014 after serving as Senior Lecturer at the University of Nice. A former student of the École normale supérieure and former member of the École française de Rome, her research focuses on the history of monachism and religious orders in the late Middle Ages, especially their intellectual practices and their relations with humanism.
