Claire MIOT

A former student of l’École normale supérieure de Cachan and the holder of an agrégation in history, Claire Miot defended in November 2016 her thesis entitled: “Sortir l’armée des ombres. Soldats de l’Empire, combattants de la Libération, armée de la Nation ? La première armée française, du débarquement en Provence à la capitulation allemande (1944-1945).” An associate for research, studies, and teaching at the Service historique de la défense since September 2017, as well as an associate researcher at l’Institut des sciences sociales du politique (pôle Cachan), she is continuing her research on the postwar French army based on imperial and European territories, with which she is involved.
