Delphine GARDEY

The historian and sociologist Delphine Gardey currently serves as Professor of Modern History at l’université de Genève, where she is the director of gender studies. Her research has explored the history of women’s work, the social history of technology, the history of writing and information technologies, and the history of the workplace and service industry. She is notably the author of La dactylographe et l’expéditionnaire. Histoire des employés de bureau (1890-1930) (Belin, 2001), and Le linge du Palais-Bourbon. Corps, matérialité et genre du politique à l’ère démocratique (Lormont, Le Bord de l’eau, 2015).
