Élias BURGEL
A former student of ENS Ulm and an agrégé (holding an advanced teaching degree) in history, Élias Burgel is currently working on a thesis about property and natural resources along the Languedoc lagoon coast from the mid-17th to the mid-19th century. Based on his field of investigation, his research has led him to take a broader interest in the history of botanical knowledge and soil bioengineering practices at the end of the early modern period and the beginning of the late modern period.
