Frédéric DESSBERG

Frédéric Dessberg, the holder of an agrégation and a doctorate in History, is Senior Lecturer of Modern History at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a member of the UMR SIRICE 8138.  On temporary assignment  to the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan schools, he is the director of the “European Defence and Security” division at the Centre de recherche des écoles de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan (CREC Saint-Cyr). He also holds the Jean Monnet European Chair for “European Defence and Security.” His work primarily explores French policy in Eastern Europe during the interwar period. He has notably published: Le triangle impossible. Les relations franco-soviétiques et le facteur polonais dans les questions de sécurité en Europe, 1924-1935 (Brussels: PIE-Peter Lang, 2009); Les horizons lointains de la politique extérieure française (Brussels: PIE-Peter Lang, 2011, with É. Schnakenbourg); Les Européens et la guerre (Paris: Publications de la Sorbonne, 2014, with I. Davion and C. Malis).
