Jacek JĘDRYSIAK

Jacek Jędrysiak is the holder of a doctorate in history, and currently serves as Assistant Professor at the Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław, Military Historical Bureau. He is editor-in-chief of the quarterly Przegląd Historyczno-Wojskowy (Military Historical Review). His dissertation, Prussian Military Thought 1815-1848, won the Polish Prime Minister’s Prize in 2015.

He specializes in nineteenth-century history, the history of Prussia and Germany, the history of military thought, German military policy in the Polish countries (1815-1918), and matters relating to general military service in the Polish People’s Army. He was a laureate for the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz scholarship in 2011.
