Philippe MEYZIE

Philippe Meyzie is Associate Professor HDR in Early Modern History at l’université Bordeaux Montaigne, as well as a member of the Centre d’études des mondes moderne et contemporain (CEMMC, Center for the Study of Early Modern and Modern Worlds) and l’Institut universitaire de France (IUF, The University Institute of France). His research focuses on the history of consumption from the late seventeenth to the nineteenth century, with particular emphasis on food (L’alimentation en Europe à l’époque moderne, Paris, A. Colin, 2010; with Corinne Marache and Maud Villeret, eds., Des produits entre déclin et renaissance (xvie-xxie siècles), Brussels, Peter Lang, 2018). He is also interested in the circulation of products and trade in the early modern economy (with Caroline Le Mao, eds., L’approvisionnement des villes portuaires en Europe du xvie siècle à nos jours, Paris, PUPS, 2015).
