Pierre PORCHER

Pierre Porcher is the holder of an agrégation, and is an ATER (temporary teaching and research fellow) in the Faculty of Arts at Sorbonne Université. He is preparing a dissertation entitled “Le ‘tout puissant empire du Milieu.’ Administrer, éduquer et travailler dans les lycées de jeunes gens et de jeunes filles de l’académie de Paris (1880-1941),” co-supervised by Jean-Noël Luc (Sorbonne Université) and Jean-François Condette (Université d’Artois). He is a member of the Center for 19th-Century History (EA 3550), as well as the Research and Study Centre History and Societies (CREHS, EA 4027). His work focuses on the history of education, youth, and administration.
