Sylvain DUFRAISSE
The holder of an agrégation as well as a doctorate in modern history from l’université paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Sylvain Dufraisse is currently Associate Professor at l’université de Nantes, where he teaches the history of sport and physical practices. As part of his doctorate, he worked on the social, cultural, and political history of elite Soviet sport during the 1930s, as well as the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. A specialist in the social and cultural history of the Soviet Union, he is currently pursuing two avenues of research: the internationalization of Soviet sport science, and the history of leisure practices in the USSR. He is the author of Les héros du sport, une histoire des champions soviétiques (années 1930-années 1980) (Champvallon, 2019).
