Virginie DE LUCA BARRUSSE

Virginie De Luca Barrusse is a historian and demographer, as well as a Professor of Demography at l’université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. She is a specialist in population theories and policies, in addition to demographic thought in general. She has published a number of books on the subject, including Les familles nombreuses. Une question démographique, un enjeu politique (France, 1880-1940) (PUR, 2008); Population en danger ! La lutte contre les fléaux sociaux sous la Troisième République (Peter Lang, 2013); and La population de la France (La Découverte, coll. “Repères,” 2016).
