Florys CASTAN-VICENTE

Florys Castan-Vicente is a doctoral student at l’université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (CHS Mondes contemporains). She teaches at l’université Paris-Sud (CS2), and co-leads the “Gender, Feminisms, and Collective Mobilizations” seminar at l’EHESS. She completed a master’s thesis on Marie-Thérèse Eyquem, and is now devoting her dissertation to the links between the beginnings of physical activities for women and the first feminist wave in France (late nineteenth century to the 1930s). Her research also focuses on biographies, sport professionalism, and international sport institutions.
