Francesco OLIVO

Francesco Olivo is a graduate of l’École normale supérieure. He completed a master’s thesis as part of the transnational history master’s program at the ENS, under the supervision of Hélène Blais, entitled: “La frontière au Frioul. Histoire croisée d’une création régionale entre royaume d’Italie et empire d’Autriche-Hongrie (1866-1915).” He is interested in the history of Friuli, Italy, and Central Europe, as well as European borders, regionalisms, and microstoria. His paternal grandparents were born on the Austrian side of the Friulan border, and his maternal grandparents on the Italian side.
