Holder of an agrégation and a PhD in History, Thomas Vaisset is Associate Professor at Université Le Havre Normandie, after having worked as a researcher and teacher in the Service historique de la Défense (Vincennes). His dissertation about admiral Georges Thierry d’Argenlieu received the Military History award, as well as the “Amiral Daveluy” award and the « Jean Sainteny » award from the French Académie des sciences morales et politiques. It was published in 2017 by Belin editions (L’amiral d’Argenlieu. Le moine-soldat du gaullisme). His research focus on the history of wars, through an operational, diplomatic, politic and religious perspective.
