Nathalie SAGE PRANCHÈRE

A former student of l’École nationale de Chartes and the holder of an agrégation and a doctorate in history, Nathalie Sage Pranchère is an Associate Researcher at the Centre Roland-Mousnier (UMR 8596). Her research explores the training of French midwives and the creation of the professional medical corps during the nineteenth century (L'École des sages-femmes. Naissance d’un corps professionnel, France, 1789-1917 (Tours, PUFR, 2016). She is now conducting research on medical migrations in Europe, and on the evolution of health knowledge and practices in Europe during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
